Lithuania's Iron Wolf brigade joining Danish division


  The Motorized Infantry Brigade Iron Wolf of Lithuania's Armed Forces is being assigned to a Land Force division of NATO ally Denmark.
      A memorandum on affiliation was signed in the Danish city of Haderslev on August 31 by commanders of Lithuanian and Danish armed forces, Major General Valdas Tutkus and General Hans Jesper Helsio. The Lithuanian army's Field Forces Commander Brigadier General Arvydas Pocius and his Danish counterpart, Major General Paul Kierskou, also signed specific project directions providing for common military events and a plan of exercises. The signing ceremony was observed by Lithuanian and Danish ministers of defense, Juozas Olekas and Soren Gade.
