Gun handling and firing courses for Afghan policeman in Ghowr

On January 11 gun handling and firing course arranged for Ghowr policemen by Lithuanian led PRT-4 in Chaghcharan was closed. PRT-4 Commander Col. A.Leika congratulated the policemen that passed the course and awarded them graduation certificates. The main objective of the courses already attended by about 40 Ghowr policemen is to enhance their professional skills and raise confidence of the locals in police activity.

Representatives of organisations taking part in country reconstruction meet in Afghanistan province of Ghowr

imgOn January 10 a meeting took place in Chaghcharan, the capital of Ghowr province in Afghanistan, whith leadership of the fourth Lithuanian led Ghowr Province Reconstruction Team (PRT-4), representatives of Lithuanian Special Mission for Afghanistan, and representatives of local and international governmental and non-governmental organisations as participants. For the first time the meeting took place in PRT-4 camp and included representatives of the organisations most important for country reconstruction: USAID Agency (Agency for International Development), WVI (Word Vision International), GP (Global Partners), CHA (Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance), SDF (Sadaee Development Foundation), A-AID (Afghan Aid), UNOPS (United Nations Office for Project Services), and UNAMA (United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan).
